Her Terrible Ordeal é um filme norte-americano de 1910 em curta-metragem, do gênero drama, dirigido por D. W. Griffith. 

Review

In this Biograph subject a fatility is averted through forgetfulness. Mr. Curtis is about to leave on a business trip, and leaves his office in charge of his son and the young typist, who Jack loves. Curtis, on leaving, drops his wallet on the floor and Jack hastens to return it. While Jack is away, a tramp enters, and forcing the girl into the vault, steals her purse. On Jack`s return he hears the knocking  on the inside of the safe. He is powerless, as he doesn`t know the combination. Out he rushes in hopes of overtaking his father, only to find the train gone. Curtis, however, is not on the rain, as he had forgotten important papers and returned to the means of saving the girl from suffocation.

Resumo

Neste titulo da Biograph, a fatilidade é evitada pelo esquecimento. Curtis está prestes a sair em viagem de negócios e deixa seu escritório encarregado de seu filho e o jovem datilógrafo, que Jack ama. Ao sair, Curtis deixa cair a carteira no chão e Jack se apressa em devolvê-la. Enquanto Jack está fora, um vagabundo entra, e forçando a garota a entrar no cofre, e rouba sua bolsa. No retorno de Jack, ele ouve as batidas no interior do cofre. Ele é impotente, pois não conhece a combinação. Lá fora, ele corre na esperança de ultrapassar o pai, apenas para descobrir que o trem partiu. Curtis, no entanto, não está na chuva, pois havia esquecido documentos importantes e retornado de salvar a garota de asfixia.
